Understanding how Company, Branch, and User settings work together to control your experience.


The Settings Hierarchy: The Waterfall Rule

Your settings in ARIVE are applied in a "waterfall" system, moving from the broad Company level down to the specific User level. This ensures consistency while allowing for individual customization. The rule is simple: the most specific setting always wins.

  • Company Settings: These are the foundational, default settings for everyone in your organization.
  • Branch Settings: If set, these will override the Company settings for everyone within that branch.
  • User Settings: If set, these will override both the Branch and Company settings for your individual account.

If a setting is not specified at a lower level (e.g., User), the system automatically uses the setting from the level above it (e.g., Branch or Company).
