Learn the best practices for securely collecting documents using the Arive platform.
Recommended Best Practices
The best practice we recommend is to use Arive’s built-in Borrower Portal and its document upload service. The document portal, and its connection to Arive LOS, use several security features that help protect the Borrower’s data from bad actors.
You can read more about those features here.
- Do not have users share email addresses for their borrower portal accounts.
- Use unique, strong passwords for your borrower account. You can read more about strong passwords here.
- Only access the borrower portal and documents on secure and trusted networks (home or office). Avoid public or open networks.
Important: Arive supports encrypted documents with a password. If you use them, make sure to share your document passwords separately from where you upload your documents to prevent access from being compromised.
