Leads can be imported in bulk up to 1,000 lead records at a time. This method is ideal for organizations or individual Loan Officers who need to migrate large quantities of leads into ARIVE.

In order to bulk import leads, you'll need to download the sample file from ARIVE, fill out the downloaded sample file, and upload the sample file into ARIVE.

Important: It's extremely important that you follow these instructions exactly to successfully import leads.

1. Click Leads at the top of your screen.

2. Click the Import button in the upper right corner.

3. In the popup screen, you'll be able to upload your leads file later, but for now click Download sample file in the lower left corner to download the same file.

  • The file format will be an .xlsx file, commonly known as an Excel file (Microsoft) or Numbers file (Mac).

Depending on your device and browser settings, the download may proceed in different ways including:

  • A popup appears where you are prompted to name the download file, select where to save it, and click Save.

  • The browser may indicate the download has been complete and the download can be located in the Downloads folder or your default folder.

4. Locate and open the sample file from your device.

  • If you didn't choose to rename the file, the file name will be: LeadsSample.xlsx

5. Add your data to the sample file starting in cell A2 and save the file when you are finished.

Important: Do not make any changes to the sample file except for entering the lead data below the column headers in the Add Leads sheet.

Follow the data format indicated in the column header or input options found in the Data List sheet.

Each lead record is required to have First Name, Last Name, and Email. The Email entry must be in an email format. (Example: name@domain.com)

Phone numbers must only contain numerical digits. Do not include any special characters such as: dashes -, parentheses (), etc.

Do not add more than 1,000 lead records (rows of data) to the sample file.

The lead file must be .xlsx or .csv file.

Any changes to the sample file outside of entering the lead data in the proper data format and input options will cause import issues.

As indicated by the red asterisk in the header, every lead record in the sample file is required to include: First Name, Last Name, and Email

Some columns only allow specific data input options and you can find the the list of columns that require specific input options and the available options in the sample file via the Data List sheet.

As seen in the example below, the Lead Status column has the specific input options of New, Contacted, Qualified, and Lost. The Lead Status column in the Add Leads sheet can only have one of these 4 options or be left blank.

6. When you are ready to import your leads, navigate back to Leads > Import Leads (seen in step 1 and step 2). You'll have an option drag and drop the file or click Click to Upload and select a file from your devices file explorer.

7. After you have added your leads file, you'll be warned of leads with formatting or data issues that won't be imported if you choose to proceed.

If you prefer, you can cancel the import and correct the leads file before completing the import, click the Cancel button in the lower right corner.

8. If you are ready to proceed with the leads import, click the Add Leads button in the lower right corner.

Once the leads have been imported, you'll get a popup notification in the lower right corner of your screen.
