Pre-Approval Letter templates allow you to create a custom pre-approval letter for various levels of the organization including: Company Settings, Branch Settings (if applicable), and User Settings.
- Company Settings > Pre-Approval Letter will allow you to customize a default template for the organization.
- Branch Settings > Pre-Approval Letter will allow you to customize a default template for the selected branch.
- User Settings > Pre-Approval Letter will allow Loan Officers to customize their own template.
The Pre-Approval Letter template is used generated a pre-approval letter via loan > Pre-Approval.

Important: The Arizona and Texas Pre-Approval Letters found within a loan cannot be edited.
Edit Pre-Approval Letter
Click Edit in the upper right corner to start customizing the pre-approval letter.
Tool Bar
The tool bar inside of the Edit screen contains several tools you can utilize to customize your pre-approval letter.
Add Image
To insert an image, click on the Insert Image icon. The image will appear on the edit page.
Click on the image, and a tool bar will appear. Use the tools in this bar to align, delete, replace, or change size of the image and move it to the desired spot.
Information Tag Use
The Pre-Approval Letter template uses information tags to pull information from a specific loan file and other parts of ARIVE to dynamically customize the Pre-Approval Letter. Information tags will appear purple when editing the Pre-Approval Letter template. Currently, there are over 70 Information Tags available.
Place your cursor where you'd like to insert an information tag and click Add Information Tags to search for or scroll through information tags.
Click the bubble to select the information tag and click Insert.
Reset to Default
In Pre-Approval Letter, you'll find a Reset to Default button in the upper right corner. Reset to Default will allow you to reset the template to the default version. The default version will be based on the next level of settings.
For an individual user, the default version will be the template set at the Branch Settings level (if applicable). If there is no branch, then the default version will be the template set at the Company Settings level.
For a branch, the default version will be the template set at the Company Settings level.
Download Sample
In Pre-Approval Letter, you'll see the Download Sample button in the upper right corner. Download Sample will allow you to download an example version of the Pre-Approval Letter in pdf format.
Pre-Approval Signature
The signature seen at the bottom of your Pre-Approval Letter is populated and configured via User Settings > Pre-Approval Signature.
Add Image to Pre-Approval Signature
1. In User Settings > Pre-Approval Signature, click the Edit in the butter right corner.
2. Place your cursor in the Pre-Approval Signature field and click the Insert Image icon.
3. Drag and drop your image or click the Drop Image field to select an image from your file explorer.
4. Click the image to reveal the image tool bar and make adjustments such as alignment, size, etc.
5. Click the Save button in the upper right corner to save your changes.
